Knee

How We Can Help

Rehabilitation of a knee injury is done in a criterion-based progression that is based on individual progress from one phase to another and not on a prespecified period of time. If the rehabilitation deviates from this approach, the body will react with adverse affects such as inflammation, pain, and further injury. Our goal in this case is to facilitate the healing process for your injury and help you safely return to your sport. Therapeutic exercises including strength training, aerobic exercise, and stretching are an important part of your rehab. They help improve flexibility, strength, endurance, and posture while preventing injury, pain, and deterioration. Sport-specific exercises and modalities such as biopuncture, platelet-rich plasma injections, heat, ice, and ultrasound, may be used together to increase the effectiveness of treatment.
